How a roll-off works
The truck backs in and lowers the container onto the spot you agreed. You load it over the open top, keeping everything level with the top rim, because an overfilled dumpster cannot legally or safely be transported — and if material has to come out before pickup, extra charges may apply. Spread the load evenly, front to back and side to side. Call or message when it is done; the truck comes back, loads it and hauls it.
Space is the thing to check before you book: a flat, stable surface such as a driveway, gravel pad or parking area, room for a container up to about 22 feet long and 7.5 feet wide, room for the truck to back in, and clear space overhead. Low wires, tree branches, parked cars, trailers and equipment are the usual obstacles. If you will not be home, mark the spot.
What the flat price includes
Delivery, pickup, the standard rental period and disposal up to the stated weight. In Jacksonville, solid waste may be deposited only at sites the City's Solid Waste director designates (Ordinance Code Sec. 380.302), and C&D disposal sites in Duval County must hold a City certificate (Sec. 386.201(c)). The City's landfill is the Trail Ridge Landfill, 5110 US Hwy 301 S in Baldwin, open Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m., closed Sunday, (904) 748-6015. In Clay County, all waste from businesses goes to the Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility, 3545 Rosemary Hill Road, Green Cove Springs, open Monday to Saturday 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; its published C&D rate is $70 a ton for franchise haulers, $84 non-franchise and $91.50 out of county. St. Johns County requires C&D to go to the St. Marks C&D Disposal Facility in St. Augustine or the Waste Pro transfer station in Elkton. Nassau County's own convenience center does not take construction debris or yard waste and points to the privately run Sandhill Recycle Center on CR 108 in Yulee. On the road, Florida law wants every load covered and secured (F.S. 316.520(2)). We price it flat either way.

What is the difference between a roll-off and a regular dumpster?
A regular business dumpster is a permanent bin emptied on a route for ongoing collection. A roll-off is a temporary open-top container delivered for a project and hauled away when you are done. Roll-offs are what we do.
How full can I load it?
Level with the top rim, no higher. Overfilled dumpsters cannot legally or safely be transported, and if material has to be removed before pickup, extra charges may apply. Even weight distribution matters too. If you need more room, call and we swap it for an empty one.
Do I have to be home for delivery?
No. As long as we have clear placement instructions and the drop-off area is accessible and free of vehicles and equipment, the driver places it where you asked. Same for pickup.
How quickly can you deliver?
Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of same-day.
Can I not just haul it to the landfill myself?
You can. Trail Ridge Landfill, 5110 US Hwy 301 S in Baldwin, is open Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tires and appliances have to be declared at the scale house. Cover and secure the load — Florida law requires it (F.S. 316.520(2)). A roll-off is the option when the job is more than a couple of loads, or you would rather not make the trips.
