Permits, placement and who may haul in Yulee
Who may haul — the rule that matters: Nassau County Code §30½-76 makes it unlawful to collect, remove, transport or dispose of solid waste for others in the unincorporated county without a County permit. Permits are nonexclusive and run five years (§30½-72(b)). We're licensed and insured.
In a county road: Nassau's right-of-way ordinance covers placement of any temporary or permanent structure in a County right-of-way (Ord. 99-17 §8.1.1), and applications go to the County Engineer before work starts (§6.1.1).
On your driveway: we found no County rule for a roll-off on private property — a driveway placement normally needs no permit, and our crew confirms the spot with you. On a state road, FDOT's rules give no permit for a roll-off in the right-of-way (Rule 14-20.008).
Knocking something down: FDEP needs a Notice of Demolition at least 10 working days before work starts, even when no asbestos is found. Homes of four or fewer units are generally exempt, unless they are part of a bigger project, were used commercially or are coming down for a commercial building. Outside Duval the notice goes to the FDEP district or local program office for the area.
