Commercial Dumpster Rental across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida
Commercial customers have a different problem from homeowners: the job runs on a schedule, with crews, tenants or customers working around it, and the container has to be there and gone on time. Retail renovations and store refits, office build-outs and cleanouts, restaurant remodels, warehouse cleanups, property managers turning over apartments and units, real estate and foreclosure cleanups — the work is routine for us and the timing is the service.
One thing to know up front. Jacksonville requires a City franchise to provide container service for nonresidential solid waste — a business's regular trash — and construction and demolition debris is exempt (Ordinance Code Secs. 380.603 and 380.604). So our commercial work is about the debris your project makes: construction, renovation, fit-out and demolition debris at businesses, and property turnovers. We do not offer ongoing scheduled trash service for a business; for that, the City points businesses to a franchised hauler.

Retail refits, office cleanouts and property turnovers
A retailer refitting a store, an office floor cleared for a build-out, a restaurant remodel, a warehouse clearing pallets, packaging and shelving, a property manager with units to turn over or a foreclosure to clear — these jobs make bulky debris in volume, and the 20, 30 and 40 yard containers exist for exactly that. Restaurant and kitchen work is the one that runs heavy, because of the tile. Metal, cardboard, concrete and clean wood are separated for recycling whenever possible.
Who may haul what is set county by county and town by town. In Jacksonville, Sec. 380.604 requires a City franchise for nonresidential container service, exempts C&D debris and recovered materials, and does not apply in the Beaches or Baldwin, where those towns regulate it. Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach each grant an exclusive garbage franchise, with a carve-out for services the franchise contract does not cover (Sec. 16-13; Sec. 27-42). Neptune Beach requires a license from the city manager to remove or transport garbage or trash through its streets (Sec. 11-61). Clay County requires a county franchise to haul roll-offs in the unincorporated county (App. D, Art. III, Sec. III.9), St. Johns County requires a county franchise to collect or transport solid waste, C&D included (Ord. 2017-39, Sec. 4), and Nassau County requires a county hauler permit (Sec. 30½-76). We are licensed and insured, and each town page states its rule plainly.
Placement on commercial property
On a private lot, in a loading area or on a job site we place where the truck can reach and the crews can load. A container in a public street is a different question: in Jacksonville it needs a Right-of-Way permit from Public Works (Ordinance Code Sec. 744.110) — $191 for a commercial job, doubled if work starts first — with a surety bond on file and an approved Maintenance of Traffic plan for anything that affects vehicles or pedestrians. On a state road the right-of-way is FDOT's, and FDOT's rules exclude waste receptacles from its general use permit, so the container stays on the property. In Atlantic Beach, roll-off service hours run 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and containers must carry the company name and phone number (Sec. 16-8(d)). We build that into the delivery plan.

Commercial dumpster rental — the local specifics
A few local rules shape commercial work. The City of Jacksonville does not provide commercial dumpster service; its own FAQ says that for waste other than construction and demolition debris and recycled materials, the company must have a City franchise, and it publishes a list of franchise waste haulers. Orange Park is the one to plan around in Clay County: its code gives the town franchisee all solid waste collection except commercial recycling and construction site cleanup, and lets only the franchisee or a town-licensed construction cleanup contractor collect there (Town Code Sec. 28-26), so we check the Town's rules before booking a container inside town limits. Green Cove Springs runs a separate, non-exclusive franchise for commercial dumpster service (Sec. 66-10) and one for temporary C&D roll-offs (Sec. 66-11). Fernandina Beach reserves refuse collection, roll-offs included, to the city or a contractor the City Commission approves (Sec. 66-36), so there too we check the City's rules first. Each town page quotes its section, and we tell you where your job stands before the truck leaves the yard.

Answers
Commercial Dumpster Rental — your questions answered
Do you offer ongoing trash service for my business?
No. In Jacksonville, Ordinance Code Sec. 380.604 requires a City franchise to provide container service for nonresidential solid waste, and construction and demolition debris is exempt. So we bring roll-offs for the construction, renovation, fit-out and demolition debris your project makes, and for property turnovers. For your regular business trash, the City points you to a hauler on its franchise list.
Can you deliver outside business hours?
We take calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and we work to your site's access window. Early-morning and weekend drops can be arranged when a truck is free. In Atlantic Beach, roll-off service is limited to 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. by city code.
Can you handle multiple sites?
Yes. Several containers at once, staggered deliveries and scheduled swap-outs across job sites are routine for contractors and property managers.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — licensed and insured, with experienced, insured drivers. Ask when you book if your property manager or general contractor needs paperwork.
Do the rules differ by town?
Yes. Jacksonville franchises regular commercial trash but not C&D debris; Atlantic Beach and Jacksonville Beach have exclusive garbage franchises with a carve-out for services the contract does not cover; Orange Park and Fernandina Beach keep collection to their franchisee or the city; and Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties each require a county franchise or permit to haul in the unincorporated county. Each town page says what that code says, and we tell you straight on the phone.

We run roll-off containers out of the Edgewood Avenue yard to every place below. Jacksonville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more likely next-day. Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties each license or franchise haulers in their unincorporated areas, and some cities keep collection to their own franchisee — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
