The honest answer is that we quote every job by phone, for your address and your material. The useful answer is what goes into that number and what moves it. Here is the arithmetic behind the quote.

In many cases, dumpster rentals in Jacksonville range from approximately $350 to $750, depending on the project; a 10 yard typically runs about $350 to $550. Where a job lands depends on the dumpster size, the type of debris, the weight of the materials, the rental duration and the delivery location. Pricing is flat-rate, with delivery, pickup and disposal typically included in the quoted rate along with the standard rental period and the included weight allowance — and no hidden fees.
We quote by phone rather than post a price list because the things that decide the number — what is going in, how heavy it is and how far the truck runs — change from job to job. A 15 yard of carpet in Fleming Island and a 10 yard of broken patio in Baldwin are different jobs at the scale and on the road. Call (904) 595-8110 with the address and the material for an exact quote. We accept most major credit and debit cards, and payment is generally collected when your booking is confirmed, to reserve the delivery.
The biggest cost inside any flat rate is disposal, and in Northeast Florida it depends on the county. In Jacksonville, Ordinance Code §380.302 says solid waste may be deposited "only in sites designated by the Director," and §386.201(c) requires every construction and demolition debris disposal site in Duval County to hold a certificate of public convenience and necessity. The City's own landfill is Trail Ridge, at 5110 U.S. Hwy 301 S in Baldwin, open Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. Its posted yard waste rate is $25 a ton. We do not quote a single Trail Ridge rate for construction debris: the City's landfill page and its fee schedule list different figures for building materials. Anyone delivering construction and demolition debris is asked to attest whether it was generated inside the City (§380.405).
Clay County publishes the clearest numbers. All waste generated by businesses there must go to the Rosemary Hill Solid Waste Management Facility, 3545 Rosemary Hill Road, Green Cove Springs, open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and its fee schedule charges per ton by material and by hauler: construction and demolition debris $70.00 for franchise haulers, $84.00 non-franchise and $91.50 out of county; Class I waste $70.00 and yard waste $45.00 at the franchise rate. St. Johns County sends construction and demolition debris to the St. Marks C&D Disposal Facility in St. Augustine or the Waste Pro Transfer Station in Elkton and publishes no tipping fees on that page. Nassau County's own center does not take construction debris and points to the private Sandhill Recycle Center on CR108 in Yulee. That is why we ask what is going in and where: the material and the county decide the disposal cost.
Weight. Each rental includes a standard weight allowance — on many rentals about 1–2 tons on a 10 yard, 2–3 on a 15, 3–4 on a 20, 4–5 on a 30 and 5–6 on a 40, depending on the debris type and the rental terms. If materials go over it, additional disposal fees may apply based on landfill weight charges. Concrete, dirt, brick, asphalt and shingles use it up fast, so we help you plan a heavy load before you fill it.
Days. Most standard rentals include a 7-day rental period. Need longer? Contact us before your scheduled pickup date and we can often extend, based on availability, for an additional daily or weekly fee. Finished early? Call and we schedule an earlier pickup.
Distance. Delivery location is part of every quote. From our yard on Edgewood Avenue North, on Jacksonville's west side, approx. road miles are: Orange Park 13, Baldwin 16, Fleming Island and Callahan 18, Atlantic Beach and Neptune Beach 22, Fruit Cove, Green Cove Springs and Middleburg 25, Jacksonville Beach and Ponte Vedra 26, St. Johns and Yulee 27, Nocatee 30 and Amelia Island 38. Approximate figures, but they explain why the far runs can cost a little more.
For a small job, hauling it yourself may be cheaper. For anything bigger, the trips and the limits add up:
| Option | Published charge or limit | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Trail Ridge Landfill, 5110 U.S. Hwy 301 S, Baldwin | Yard waste $25 a ton; passenger tires $1.50 and appliances $20 each at the scale house | Mon–Fri 6 a.m.–7 p.m., Sat 6 a.m.–1 p.m.; tires and appliances must be declared at the scale house or a surcharge applies |
| Jacksonville curbside, building materials | Up to 1 cubic yard weekly (non-automated areas) or 2 cubic yards every other week (automated areas) | Your own project only — debris from a contractor's work is removed by the contractor (§380.207) |
| City Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 2675 Commonwealth Ave | Free for Duval residents | Tue–Sat 8 a.m.–5 p.m.; up to 27 gallons of paint and/or 27 gallons of motor oil per 30 days |
| Jacksonville scrap tire pickup | Up to four standard vehicle tires, by appointment | Call 630-CITY (2489); no oversized tires |
| Clay County Rosemary Hill facility | C&D $84 a ton non-franchise, $70 franchise, $91.50 out of county | Mon–Sat 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; business waste must go here |
| Nassau County Convenience Recycling Center, Callahan | Residential waste from Nassau County residents only | No yard waste or residential construction debris |
Every DIY trip is a covered load — F.S. 316.520(2) requires trash loads to be covered and secured with a close-fitting tarpaulin or other appropriate cover — plus a drive to the gate and a closing time. Past a handful of trips, one roll-off usually wins on money and on weekends.
None of these change our flat rate, but they can add to the cost of a job. A container in a Jacksonville street, sidewalk or right-of-way needs a City right-of-way permit: $127 residential or $191 commercial, doubled if work starts first, with a $50,000 annual surety bond or letter of credit on file for non-driveway work and an MOT plan where traffic is affected. Jacksonville Beach charges $40.00 for its right-of-way permit, with an annual $1,500 surety bond (§28-20). On a state road there is no FDOT permit for a roll-off at all. We found no City of Jacksonville permit or fee for a roll-off on a private driveway. Fernandina Beach requires a temporary use permit even on private property (LDC §5.02.06); we did not find its fee published.
Getting it wrong costs more. Working in a Jacksonville right-of-way without a permit may bring a fine of up to $250, each day a separate offense, and the Sheriff may remove an unlawful obstruction from a street (§746.102). Tearing down a building takes an FDEP asbestos notice even when no asbestos is found — a flat $200 fee, or $100 when filed and paid online. And Florida's landfill bans on lead-acid batteries, used oil, white goods and whole tires are the reasons behind our no list.
The most expensive container is the heavy one that should have been two. Concrete, dirt and brick are typically restricted to a 10 or 15 yard and may need special pricing or a separate container — loading them into a big box with everything else is how a job goes over its weight allowance. Mixed loads matter too: under F.S. 403.703(6), mixing construction debris with other waste means the load is no longer construction and demolition debris. Banned items — tires, batteries, fuel and oils, paint and chemicals, propane tanks and appliances containing refrigerant — do not belong in the box; the what-goes-in guide says where each goes instead. Never fill above the rim: an overfilled dumpster cannot legally or safely be transported, and additional charges may apply if material has to be removed before pickup.
For anything beyond a couple of pickup loads, a container you load yourself is usually the better value, because you are paying for the box rather than the labor. For a single sofa or a cleanout with nobody to lift, our junk removal service, where our crew does the loading, hauling and disposal, may suit you better. For businesses in Jacksonville, our commercial work is construction, renovation, fit-out and demolition debris; ongoing commercial trash service there takes a City franchise under §380.604, and we do not offer it. Call (904) 595-8110 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Same-day or next-day delivery is available in many Jacksonville service areas, depending on availability; call earlier in the day for the best chance of same-day.

From this guide
In many cases approximately $350 to $750, depending on the size, the type and weight of the debris, the rental length and the delivery location. Delivery, pickup and disposal are typically included in the flat quoted rate, with no hidden fees.
Delivery and pickup, disposal up to the included weight allowance, and the standard rental period — most standard rentals include 7 days. Going over the weight allowance, extra days, or material that has to be removed from an overfilled box are what can add to it.
For a load or two of yard waste, maybe — the City posts $25 a ton. But the landfill is out on U.S. 301 in Baldwin, it closes at 7 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. on Saturdays, and every load has to be covered. Past a few loads, a roll-off usually costs less in money and time.
Delivery location is part of the quote, so the far runs — Nocatee is approx. 30 road miles from our yard and Amelia Island approx. 38 — can cost a little more, and disposal costs differ by county. Any street permit cost is separate.
