What comes out of Ponte Vedra properties

Kitchens, baths and roofs in 15s and 20s, larger remodels in 20s and 30s, new construction in 30s and 40s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete and tile. Florida keeps lead-acid batteries, used oil and white goods out of landfills, and whole tires out of landfills and C&D facilities alike. Mix household trash into a C&D load and it stops being C&D under F.S. 403.703(6) — which matters when the County sends C&D to dedicated facilities.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Ponte Vedra

Who may haul — the rule that matters: St. Johns County Ordinance 2017-39 §4 makes it unlawful to collect or transport solid waste for pay from any property in the county without a County franchise, unless the work is exempt — and C&D roll-offs are not on the exemption list (§5). The County's C&D franchises are non-exclusive and approved by Board resolution (§6.A; Res. 2024-252). We're licensed and insured.

On the job site: §12.A says C&D debris "shall be placed in Mechanical Containers or Receptacles at job sites" and bans wire "pig pens"; §12.B makes debris left on the ground more than seven days a public nuisance; and §13 requires a fully covered or enclosed vehicle or container to haul it.

In a county road: the County requires a written right-of-way permit to block, obstruct or place material in any public road right-of-way (Section 30.0), applied for through its ROW Use Online Permit Application. A driveway placement normally needs no permit — we found no County rule for one — and our crew confirms the spot with you. A1A is a state road, and FDOT's rules give no permit for a roll-off in its right-of-way (Rule 14-20.008).

Knocking something down: FDEP needs a Notice of Demolition at least 10 working days before work starts, even when no asbestos is found. Homes of four or fewer units are generally exempt, unless they are part of a bigger project, were used commercially or are coming down for a commercial building. Outside Duval the notice goes to the FDEP district or local program office for the area. Regulated asbestos cannot go to a Florida C&D facility (Rule 62-701.730(19)), so it never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Ponte Vedra

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard 7-day rental and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, with protective boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top rim and keep the banned items out — tires, car and rechargeable batteries, used oil, paint, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, and appliances such as fridges, A/C units and water heaters. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes to a permitted facility for where the job is — in Jacksonville, the sites the City designates, such as its Trail Ridge Landfill — with metal, concrete, cardboard, wood and clean yard waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Ponte Vedra — common questions

Is Ponte Vedra same-day?

Same-day or next-day, depending on availability — it is about 39 minutes from the yard, so call (904) 595-8110 early in the day.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Ponte Vedra?

Not on your driveway, as far as we found. Anything in a county road needs a St. Johns County right-of-way permit.

Can I keep a debris pile on site instead?

Not for long. St. Johns County wants C&D debris in containers at job sites, bans wire "pig pens," and calls debris on the ground more than seven days a public nuisance.

Where does Ponte Vedra debris go?

The County requires C&D debris to go to the St. Marks C&D facility in St. Augustine or the Waste Pro transfer station in Elkton.

Service area

Every town we cover

We run roll-off containers out of the Edgewood Avenue yard to every place below. Jacksonville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more likely next-day. Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties each license or franchise haulers in their unincorporated areas, and some cities keep collection to their own franchisee — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
