Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Neptune Beach
Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.
- Its own city — Jacksonville's franchise code leaves nonresidential collection at the Beaches to the beaches communities (Jacksonville Ordinance Code §380.604(c)).
- Licensed collectors — no one may remove garbage or trash from premises in the city, or haul it through the streets, without a license from the city manager (§11-61).
- No exclusive clause found — the City's garbage chapter sets a ten percent franchise fee for its garbage franchisee (§11-67), but we found no exclusive-franchise clause in it.
- Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2675 Commonwealth Avenue, Jacksonville — free for Duval residents, Tuesday to Saturday 8 am to 5 pm.

Sizes
Choosing a container size in Neptune Beach
Weight is what usually decides the size, not how much room the pile takes up.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Neptune Beach
Who may haul — the rule that matters: §11-61 says no person may remove garbage or trash from any premises in the city, or transport it through the streets, "without first having secured a license for such services from the city manager." We found no exclusive franchise. We're licensed and insured.
In the right-of-way: §18-4(a) says all private use of the city right-of-way "must obtain a right-of-way permit and pay any associated permit fees," and §18-4(b) allows nothing in the right-of-way that hurts emergency or utility access.
On your driveway: we found no City rule for a roll-off on private property — a driveway placement normally needs no permit, and our crew confirms the spot with you.
Knocking something down: FDEP needs a Notice of Demolition at least 10 working days before work starts, even when no asbestos is found. Homes of four or fewer units are generally exempt, unless they are part of a bigger project, were used commercially or are coming down for a commercial building. In Duval the notice is filed with the City of Jacksonville's Environmental Quality Division. Regulated asbestos cannot go to a Florida C&D facility (Rule 62-701.730(19)), so it never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.
Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.
How it works
Booking a dumpster in Neptune Beach
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
You get one number covering delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard 7-day rental and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
- 3
Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, with protective boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.
- 4
Load at your own pace
Keep it level with the top rim and keep the banned items out — tires, car and rechargeable batteries, used oil, paint, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, and appliances such as fridges, A/C units and water heaters. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call and we are on it.
- 5
We haul it and dispose of it right
The load goes to a permitted facility for where the job is — in Jacksonville, the sites the City designates, such as its Trail Ridge Landfill — with metal, concrete, cardboard, wood and clean yard waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Every town we cover
We run roll-off containers out of the Edgewood Avenue yard to every place below. Jacksonville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more likely next-day. Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties each license or franchise haulers in their unincorporated areas, and some cities keep collection to their own franchisee — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
