Junk Removal across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida
Junk removal is the other half of what we do. Instead of dropping a container and coming back in a week, a crew shows up, loads what you point at, and hauls it off. It suits the jobs where the problem is labor rather than volume: a garage of heavy furniture, a rental the tenant left full, an office full of desks and shelving, an estate where the family lives out of town, storm debris, a single sofa or appliance. You point to the junk, and we handle the rest.
It matters here because regular pickup does not take the big stuff on your schedule. Jacksonville's curbside service caps do-it-yourself building material at 1 to 2 cubic yards, picks up appliances and tires only by appointment, and does not take contractor debris at all; Nassau County's convenience center takes household waste from county residents only. The rule of thumb on the phone: if it is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone soon, call the crew. If it is a whole house, or a job that will take you more than a day to sort, a container on the driveway is usually cheaper because you are paying for the box, not the hours. We run both.
At a glance
What you get with junk removal
- A crew that does the loading, hauling and disposal
- Upfront pricing based on volume, type of material, labor and access
- Furniture, mattresses, appliances, household junk, renovation debris and office furniture
- Same-day and next-day appointments in many areas, depending on availability
- Usable items donated and metal, cardboard, wood and electronics recycled where possible
- A self-load roll-off on the driveway instead if you would rather load it yourself
Cleanouts, turnovers and the one-off pile
Estate and rental property cleanouts are the biggest category: the furniture nobody wants, the appliances, the garage and attic full of boxes. Move-outs are next — landlords and property managers with a unit to turn over, eviction and foreclosure cleanups. Then the one-off pile: the sofa, the mattress, leftover renovation debris, branches and damaged materials after a storm.
For businesses it is offices, warehouses and retail stores — desks, chairs, shelving and fixtures, and the electronics that go to recycling where permitted rather than the landfill. Tell us the access window and we will work to it.
Junk removal or a dumpster — which is cheaper?
A rough rule: if the job is a few items or a couple of pickup loads and you want it gone quickly, call the crew. If it is a whole house, a renovation, a roof or anything that will take you more than a day to sort, a roll-off on the driveway is usually cheaper because you load it at your own pace. When a job needs both, we price them together. We will say which on the phone — we do both.

Junk removal — the local specifics
City and county programs cap what they take and when. City of Jacksonville: building material from your own work is limited to 1 cubic yard a week in non-automated areas or 2 cubic yards every other week in automated areas, contractor debris is not collected (Sec. 380.207), and major appliances and up to four standard tires are picked up by appointment through 630-CITY — the City notes that major appliances are prohibited by law in landfills. Electronics from homes — TVs, monitors, computers, printers, small appliances — go to the City's Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2675 Commonwealth Ave or its mobile events, up to three TVs or tube monitors per customer; businesses are told to find a recycling center. Florida has no specific law banning electronics from landfills, but FDEP strongly recommends recycling them. In Nassau County, the convenience center at 46026 Landfill Rd., Callahan takes residential waste from county residents only. Junk removal is for the pile that cannot wait for any of that. Usable furniture and household items are donated where practical, and metal, cardboard, wood and electronics recycled where permitted.

Answers
Junk Removal — your questions answered
How is junk removal priced?
By the volume of debris, the type of material, the labor and how easy it is to reach. You get clear, upfront pricing that covers the labor, the hauling and the disposal before the crew starts. Describe the pile, or email a photo, and we will give you a number.
Do I need to be there?
For the first visit, usually — someone needs to point at what goes and what stays. After that, a gate code and a phone number usually do it.
Can you take appliances?
Yes — fridges, freezers, washers, dryers, ranges and water heaters, once the Freon is properly handled. They are white goods, which Florida bans from landfills (F.S. 403.708(12)(d)), so they go to appliance and scrap metal recycling, and federal EPA rules require the refrigerant to be recovered before final processing. We tell you any cost up front.
Do you take electronics and TVs?
Yes, and they go to recycling where permitted rather than the trash. Florida has no specific law on discarded electronics, but FDEP strongly recommends recycling TVs, computers and phones. Duval residents can also drop them at the City's Household Hazardous Waste Facility, 2675 Commonwealth Ave.
How fast can a crew come?
Same-day and next-day appointments are available in many areas, depending on availability. Call early in the day for the best chance of today.
