Roll-off dumpster rental in Atlantic Beach
Approx. 22 road miles from the yard, around 39 minutes.
Atlantic Beach is approx. 22 road miles east of the yard, around 39 minutes — same-day or next-day, depending on availability, so call early in the day. It is a city of 13,513 at the 2020 Census (13,245 by the July 2025 estimate), in Duval County but with its own city code.
Its solid waste chapter has a whole section on dumpsters and roll-offs used for contractor debris (§16-8(d)) — service hours, labels, a size cap for heavy loads, a 90-day limit and a storm rule. The City also grants an exclusive franchise for residential and commercial collection (§16-13), so we check the City's rules before booking a container inside city limits.
Local knowledge
Getting our bearings in Atlantic Beach
Knowing a city properly is the difference between covering it and showing up with the right box.
- Service hours — roll-off service is limited to between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM (§16-8(d)1).
- Labeled boxes — dumpsters and roll-offs must carry the company name and telephone number in a conspicuous place (§16-8(d)2).
- 90 days — except with an active building permit, a dumpster or roll-off cannot stay on a lot more than ninety days (§16-8(d)9).
- Storm rule — when a tropical storm warning or hurricane warning covers any part of Duval County, all roll-offs and construction dumpsters must be emptied or removed from the site (§16-8(f)).
- Its own say on commercial collection — Jacksonville's franchise code leaves nonresidential collection at the Beaches to the beaches communities (Jacksonville Ordinance Code §380.604(c)).

What comes out of Atlantic Beach properties
Kitchens, baths and roofs in 15s and 20s, larger remodels in 20s and 30s, and a 10 or 15 for concrete, tile and dirt. Atlantic Beach caps any roll-off used for concrete or comparable heavy debris, soil included, at 20 cubic yards (§16-8(d)4), loads must be covered when the container is removed (§16-8(d)7), and everything collected goes to an approved licensed disposal site (§16-8(d)6). Lead-acid batteries, used oil, white goods and whole tires stay out of the container — Florida bans them from landfills.

Sizes
Choosing a container size in Atlantic Beach
Weight is what usually decides the size, not how much room the pile takes up.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 Yard Dumpster | about 14 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 3.5 ft high | about 3 pickup truck loads | 1–2 tons | Small kitchen and bathroom remodels, garage and attic cleanouts, flooring and tile removal, roofing shingles, small demolition, rental cleanups, and concrete, brick, dirt or other heavy debris within the weight limit. |

| 30 Yard Dumpster | about 22 ft long × 7.5 ft wide × 6 ft high | about 9 pickup truck loads | 4–5 tons | Full-home and multi-room renovations, estate and foreclosure cleanouts, commercial remodeling, light demolition, construction debris and community or HOA cleanups. |

Permits, placement and who may haul in Atlantic Beach
Who may haul — the rule that matters: §16-13 grants an exclusive franchise for residential and commercial solid waste collection in the city, and no other private refuse collector is permitted "except for services not covered under the solid waste franchise contract." The code counts roll-offs as garbage containers (§16-1) and bills franchise roll-off pulls by size "other than C&D containers" (§16-10(7)). Whether a C&D roll-off sits outside the contract depends on the contract, so we check the City's rules before booking a container inside city limits. We're licensed and insured.
In the street: §16-8(d)5 says roll-offs "shall not be located within the city right-of-way without prior written consent of the public works director," and "may never remain on the paved surface of any road overnight."
On your lot: we found no City permit for a roll-off on private property — your driveway or lot is the simple place for it, within the 90-day limit, and our crew confirms the spot with you. A container the City finds unsafe or unsanitary must be removed from the city within 24 hours (§16-8(d)3).
Knocking something down: FDEP needs a Notice of Demolition at least 10 working days before work starts, even when no asbestos is found. Homes of four or fewer units are generally exempt, unless they are part of a bigger project, were used commercially or are coming down for a commercial building. In Duval the notice is filed with the City of Jacksonville's Environmental Quality Division. Regulated asbestos cannot go to a Florida C&D facility (Rule 62-701.730(19)), so it never goes in our containers — tell us if the survey finds any.
Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.
How it works
Booking a dumpster in Atlantic Beach
Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.
- 1
Call and tell us the job
One short conversation. We ask the location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.
- 2
We size it and quote it flat
You get one number covering delivery, pickup, disposal, the standard 7-day rental and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.
- 3
Delivered where you want it
The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site where you asked, with protective boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability. You do not need to be home.
- 4
Load at your own pace
Keep it level with the top rim and keep the banned items out — tires, car and rechargeable batteries, used oil, paint, chemicals, propane tanks, asbestos, and appliances such as fridges, A/C units and water heaters. Need more time or a swap mid-job? One call and we are on it.
- 5
We haul it and dispose of it right
The load goes to a permitted facility for where the job is — in Jacksonville, the sites the City designates, such as its Trail Ridge Landfill — with metal, concrete, cardboard, wood and clean yard waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers
Dumpster rental in Atlantic Beach — common questions
Is Atlantic Beach same-day?
Same-day or next-day, depending on availability — it is about 39 minutes from the yard, so call (904) 595-8110 early in the day.
Can the roll-off go in the street in Atlantic Beach?
Only with prior written consent of the public works director, and never overnight on the paved surface of a road (§16-8(d)5). Your driveway or lot is simpler.
What happens when a storm is coming?
When a tropical storm or hurricane warning covers any part of Duval County, Atlantic Beach requires every roll-off and construction dumpster to be emptied or removed from the site (§16-8(f)). Call us as soon as the warning goes up.
Is there a size limit for concrete?
Yes. Atlantic Beach caps roll-offs used for concrete, soil or other heavy debris at 20 cubic yards (§16-8(d)4) — and heavy loads usually go in a 10 or 15 anyway.
Service area
Every town we cover
We run roll-off containers out of the Edgewood Avenue yard to every place below. Jacksonville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more likely next-day. Clay, St. Johns and Nassau counties each license or franchise haulers in their unincorporated areas, and some cities keep collection to their own franchisee — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
